So What's New???
Our mission is simple – Educating the future, Preserving the past & Celebrating the accomplishments of all Iowans. Click here for an overview of the Hall. Following are some of the new additions to the Hall over the last few months:
Shawn Johnson Exhibit: Iowa’s own Olympic Golden Girl is featured with interviews and competition videos along with a life-size bronze of Shawn on a balance beam. Interviews with Shawn, her coaches and parents highlight the exhibit.
Zach Johnson Exhibit: Cedar Rapids’ own professional golfer is featured in extended interviews with Zach, his parents, and his teaching pro. Visitors are able to watch as Zach wins golf’s most prestigious tournament--The Masters. Also featured is a life-size cut-out of Zach for a fun picture taking experience.

LoLo Jones: Iowa’s Olympic hurdler who represented our state so well in the character department at the Beijing games. See video interviews with her and relive her world-record at the U.S. Olympic Trials. Also featured is a life-size cut-out of LoLo for picture taking.
2008 Iowa Sports Heroes: The stories of Natasha Kaiser-Brown, Randy Duncan, Bob Feller, Chad Henning and Cael Sanderson are artfully portrayed in video interviews and action videos.
Special Olympics Kiosk: We have added a new tribute to Special Olympics in Iowa, telling the story of this great organization through pictures, text and streaming video.
Visual Arts Kiosk: A new addition to the Fine Arts Exhibit that allows visitors to view works of art by Iowa high school students from all over the state.
Quarterback Challenge: Our most popular game has been completely refurbished. We have changed it to an Iowa/Iowa State game with competitors throwing to Todd Blythe, a former Cyclone from Indianola, and Dallas Clark, a former Hawkeye from Livermore. FUN!
Peggy Whitson: Iowa’s astronaut from Beaconsfield took a banner from the Hall of Pride to the International Space Station on her last flight. We have it displayed with a certificate of authenticity. It’s out of this world!
Thanks to Musco Lighting, all Iowa student admissions in grades K-12 are now FREE! That includes school groups, families and youth groups.
